Nathan married Lil in 1925 after he had moved to Detroit and established the White Star Dairy -- specializing in Polish country dairy products that the large Polish population of Detroit loved. |

 Alvin, Nathan, Ruth and Lil Gula And then there were Ruth and Alvin. Nathan died in 1943 at only 46 years old and the dairy was run by Lil and her children until about 1975. |
