Helen and Lou Wagman
There were two Louis
Wagman's --Uncle Lou and Little Lou. Little Lou was raised in Toronto. He
excelled at sports.
Louis worked as a
baker -the same trade as his father, and his great grandfather, Ruchel's
Isaac. Louis met Helen Goldstein in 1939. |

Louis and Helen were
married in 1941.

Shortly after they
married, Louis was drafted into the Canadian army. He spent four years on
active duty -playing basketball for the Canadian Army's team, stationed
at Camp Petawawa, close to Toronto.

After the war, Louis
and Helen decided to start their family. Their daughter, Cynthia, was born
in Toronto in 1946. In 1947, Louis, Helen, and Cynthia immigrated to sunny
California, and settled in Los Angeles. Daughter Iris was born in 1952,
and Francine arrived in 1956.

Lou Wagman - bakerLouis Wagman worked as
manager of the Modern Rye Bakery Company in Los Angeles. He later worked
for Continental Grain. Helen was a stay at home mom until 1978, when she
became employed with Los Angeles County as an executive secretary.
